Tis the Season
This past weekend (Dec. 4, 2021) we decided to have some festive fun at home. We started off by making a gingerbread house in the morning, I chose to use graham crackers because I feel like they stay together easier, especially for little hands. Leo enjoyed eating the candy and telling me where to add things, he then proudly displayed it on our entry table next to a nutcracker.
We then stopped by a local restaurant in town where they had Santa and The Grinch giving hot cocoa and candy canes. Leo didn’t want to take a picture with Santa, and although he looks terrified he requested a picture with The Grinch, he kept saying he was nice……maybe Leo understands that the poor Grinch is just misunderstood.
Our last Saturday stop was the local Christmas Light Parade. Toys for Tots handed out toys to all of the kids watching the parade, Leo was ecstatic with his new gun and has been walking around saying “hands up” all week.
On Sunday we decided to make some snow, and if you haven’t tried that I 10/10 would recommend. It was really easy to make, and Leo enjoyed playing with it. Since we live in the desert and it rarely snows it was a nice, noncold alternative.
All in all we had a great weekend and can’t wait to see what fun things we do next!
Snow Recipe:
3 cups baking soda
1/2 cup hair conditioner
Mix together well and enjoy. I stored ours in a sandwich bag and it is still soft
